Why We Are the Bathroom Remodeler Los Angeles CA Trusts

Three things decide whether a bathroom job goes well: how clearly the scope is written, who waterproofs the shower, and who answers the phone when something is wrong. We put the scope and the warranty in writing.

01
⌂

Licensed, Insured, and Code-Correct

Every job is planned to the code that applies to your home, and permit questions are answered before work begins. That matters in Los Angeles, where unpermitted bathroom work can stall a home sale. The written scope lists what the job includes, so the plan is clear before work starts.

02
◎

Waterproofing Done Right

We install a waterproof membrane over cement backer board and slope every shower pan to the drain before tile. We use a laser level and stud finder to set blocking square. That is why our showers do not grow mold behind the wall or leak into the ceiling below.

How Our Bathroom Remodeling Process Works

We walk the bathroom with you, measure, check the shutoffs, and look for water damage or structural rot behind the walls. You get a written scope and a price in writing.

Permit questions are answered before work begins, and we order tile, fixtures, and the shower pan. You pick the tile, fixtures, and finishes, and we confirm lead times before we schedule demo.

We protect the floors, tear out to studs, and run new PEX piping, copper where it is needed, and ABS/PVC drain lines. The city inspector signs off on rough plumbing and electrical before anything closes up.

Cement backer board goes up, then the waterproof membrane, then a sloped shower pan. We set tile with a notched trowel and thinset mortar, cut on a wet saw, and grout with a grout float.

We test every valve, run the shower, check for leaks, and walk the room with you. You get a written workmanship warranty and our direct line for anything that comes up after we leave.

Bathroom Problems We Fix in Los Angeles

Most of our calls start with water where it should not be. Here are the four problems we see most in Los Angeles homes, and what we do about each one.

Ask a pro →
01

Leaky shower pan soaking the ceiling below

A leaky shower pan is almost always a failed membrane or a pan that was never sloped. We tear out the shower floor, rebuild the pan with a proper slope to the drain, install a new waterproof membrane, and re-tile. We pressure-test before we close it up.

↗
02

Mold and mildew behind the tile

Mold behind tile means moisture is trapped with no way out. We remove the affected backer board, treat the framing, add a dedicated exhaust fan, and rebuild with cement backer board and membrane. We also check the grout and silicone caulk lines for gaps.

↗
03

Cracked tile and failing grout on the floor

Cracked tile usually points to uneven flooring or a soft subfloor, not bad tile. We pull the loose pieces, level the substrate, and re-set with thinset mortar and a notched trowel. New grout and caulk finish the job, and it holds.

↗
04

Outdated plumbing and low water pressure

Old galvanized lines and a clogged shower valve kill pressure. We replace the run with PEX piping, swap the valve for a pressure-balance unit, and clear the line with a plumber's snake where needed. You feel the difference the first shower.

Bathroom Remodeler Los Angeles CA: Common Questions

Straight answers to the questions we get on almost every estimate call, with straight answers for Los Angeles homes.

+1 619-960-0868 →

Remodeling usually means changing the layout or rebuilding the room, while renovation usually means refreshing what is already there: new surfaces, storage, and fixtures with the layout kept in place. Which one fits depends on whether the layout works for how you live. A free written estimate will show you the right scope for your kitchen or bathroom.

The cost depends on the size of the room, how much of the layout changes, whether plumbing or electrical work moves, the tile, cabinets, and fixtures you choose, and what we find behind the walls. That is why every job starts with a free written estimate after we see the room: you get the scope and the price in writing before any work begins. When you compare quotes, compare the scope line by line: one quote may price a finish as fixed while another holds it as an allowance that can change later.

Whether a permit is needed depends on the scope of the work and the city your home is in (in the City of Los Angeles, that is the Department of Building and Safety; other cities have their own building departments, and unincorporated areas go through Los Angeles County). Work that moves plumbing, electrical, or structure is the kind that usually needs one, while a like-for-like swap often does not. We confirm what your job needs before work begins, so there are no surprises.

We walk the room with you, measure, and talk through what is not working. Then you get a free written estimate that lists the scope, the finishes, and the schedule. Free estimates are scheduled Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and you can call any time, day or night, because we are open 24 hours, 7 days a week. Before the visit, clear access to the room and note what is not working, so the measuring and the walkthrough cover everything the written estimate must list.

Turn off the water first. Use the shut-off valve under the sink or behind the toilet, or your home's main water valve if you cannot find the source. If water is near lights, outlets, or the breaker panel, switch off power to that area. Catch dripping water in a bucket, move anything that can be damaged, and call us any time — we are open 24 hours, 7 days a week. We will look at the leak, find the source, and give you a free written estimate for the repair or remodel scope before any work starts.

Yes. If you own a condo, your homeowners association has its own alteration rules, and HOA approval is separate from a city permit. Bring your HOA's rules to the free written estimate and we will confirm what your job needs, including the permit side, before work begins.

It depends on how your household bathes. Keeping the tub usually fits better when it is the home's only tub, young children bathe in it, or you plan to sell soon. A walk-in shower usually fits better when everyone showers, stepping over the tub wall is difficult, or another bathroom has a tub. A free written estimate will walk through both options for your room.

We stop work in that area and show you photos of what we found before anything is covered up. The repair goes into a written change order — what will be fixed, what it adds to the price, and how it affects the schedule — and you sign it before the repair work starts. We do not tile over damage, and work is left open for any required inspection.
